I noticed that there are some stocks in the oil & gas field that show signs of accumulation. Notably, Denbury Resources and Basic Energy Services confirmed on Friday the lack of supply. This would be a nice entry long. You can read the detailed technical analyses of the two stocks clicking here: Denbury Resources (DNR.US) and Basic Energy Services (BAS.US). Others stocks under accumulation in the sector are Energy XXI (EXXI.US), Ensco (ESC.US) and Whiting Petroleum (WLL.US). What is holding me from actually buying these two stocks (or, at least, one of them) is the current behaviour of the S&P 500, that seems weak although today's action, if positive, would indicate that Friday's volume was buying activity and the long bias intact. Detailed technical analysis of the S&P 500 here. Another reason is the proximity of the earnings releases.
